Perhaps surprisingly, a survey of French women once revealed that the man to whom they were most attracted was... director Woody Allen.
Woody himself may have shed some light upon the issue: "For some reason I'm more appreciated in France than I am back home," he once remarked. "My films must be incredibly well SUBBED!"
Allen, Woody - born Allan Stewart Konigsberg - (1935 -) American comedian, writer, actor and director noted for his relationships with Mia Farrow and with her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn; and for numerous films.
Note: In 2003, Allen appeared in a promotional video for the French bureau of tourism. Allen said it was time to forgive and forget over France's opposition to the U.S. invasion of Iraq. He urged fellow Americans to travel to France, eat french fries, and French kiss!
