A fix for spam is about as likely as a fix for the e-mail viruses ping-ponging across the Internet. But the world's great minds had better keep PLUGGING AWAY because spam isn't just eroding people's patience, it's also eating away at their confidence in the Internet in general. In addition to crammed e-mail in-boxes, spam could halt the growth of the Internet economy, Reuters reported, citing remarks made by officials at the Brussels workshop.
