Just as extramarital rumours about France's first couple have died down, comes a new assault on the country's HEIGHT-CHALLENGED leader, Nicolas Sarkozy. Sixt, one of Europe's largest car-rental companies, is running an ad urging consumers to rent a small Citroen C3 hatchback, with the tag line: "Be like Madame Bruni, take a small French model."

Did you know?
height-challenged adjective phrase
- to be short
--- There once was a time when a person could be referred to as "short" without being accused of discrimination. Of course, others go too far with disparaging comments like, "He's so short, when he pulls up his socks he's blind."
Political correctness has meanwhile invaded many facets our of lives. This has given rise to a wealth of expressions such as "height-challenged," which use the adjective "challenged" in the sense of having a disability or impairment. The following is a partial list of "politically-correct" terms for those inclined to be on the safe side:
- visually-challenged = blind
- gravitationally-challenged = fat
- economically-challenged = poor
- aesthetically-challenged = ugly
- biologically-challenged = dead
