WORD ORIGIN
“Factible" is formed from the Latin verb facere meaning "to do or make", with the suffix -bilis, meaning "able to be".
So factible literally means "makeable, able to be made or done". It entered English in the early 17th century from Medieval Latin factibilis.
The Latin root word facere (to do/make) also gave rise to other English words like factory, manufacture, faction, and feat.
