Jiggery-pokery is an example of a "double-dactylic phrase".

Most etymological experts believe jiggery-pokery originated from a 17th-century Scottish dialectal phrase "joukery-pawkery." The first part stems from an obscure word that meant to dodge or avoid. The second part is from "pawk," a Scottish/Northen England word for clever.
