The report seems to indicate that Europeans just don't use the Internet much at night. While Americans seem to stay online into the SMALL HOURS, with traffic still at 90% of its peak levels at midnight, it's down to 60% in Europe by then.

--- Now you're gone They linger on, these memories All these precious memories Memories of you
How they linger in the twilight In the morning, IN THE SMALL HOURS Just before dawn

small hours plural noun phrase
- the early hours of the morning, between twelve o'clock at night and the time when the sun rises
(Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)
--- The "small hours" (the period of time between midnight and daylight) are called small simply because of the smaller, single-digit hours on the clock that they represent (e.g. 1:00, 2:00 o'clock). For emphasis, it is sometimes expressed as "wee small hours" or "wee small hours of the morning" (wee means very small).
The small hours are a particularly popular subject for songwriters and poets. In addition to Van Morrison, musicians as diverse as Barry Manilow, Metallica, Rob Thomas and The Pogues have written songs about the small hours. The lyrics give the impression that the middle of the night is a time for reflecting about love.
That might be true for a lot of people, but as the BBC news reported, there are exceptions like Helal Miah, a former so-called "day trader" who once traded stocks during the day in London's financial district.
After losing his job, Mr. Miah decided to become an independent trader from home. He says his computer is right next to his bed. Not that he needs to get out of bed to do a deal. He admits that sometimes he might be doing a trade during the small hours on his mobile while in bed with his new wife. That doesn't leave much time for reflection.

OWAD Reader Harald, has suggested this cool new BREUTSCH word:
BRENTRY statt BRIN als Gegenteil zu BREXIT?
Hat Doppelbedeutung:
1) BRitisch ENTRY 2) Britisch RE-(E)NTRY
Es gibt auch BRE-ENTRY. Man muss nur aufpassen, dies nicht mit französischen Käse zu verwechseln, also kein BREE-ENTRY
