(Dan Randall in "Why Companies Fail" - Pretentious Press - March 2001)

Did you
know?

CYA = Cover Your Ass
(common US business slang)

CYA is US Military jargon which has now entered mainstream American business - it literally means keep your most sensitive body parts under cover when under fire from the enemy.

CYA is now used for when one is, or could be under attack in the corporate world.

The term CYA is less used in the UK - but the practice is universal!
