The ex-Beatle has been granted his own coat of arms which uses a crest in honour of his Liverpudlian background and musical career. It features a Liver Bird, holding a guitar to highlight McCartney's Liverpool and musical connections
Sir Paul also made reference to his fellow Beatles - John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr - by having four curved emblems that resemble beetles' backs.
