Chinwag is a vivid way to describe a long conversation. Just imagine "wagging" (moving from side to side or up and down) the chin. Which gender enjoys a good chinwag more, men or women? Many would say that it's women.
A new study has destroyed the myth that women are the ones who love to gossip. The survey suggests that men are the longer talkers. A poll of 5,000 people by an Indian research company revealed that men spend an average 76 minutes a day chinwagging with their mates and colleagues while women do it for just 52 minutes.
The most common topics among men include stories about drunken adventures, old school friends and the most beautiful girl at work, according to the poll. Women are more likely to complain about other females, other people’s love lives or their friends’ weight gains.
As far as the favourite location for a chinwag, men love to gossip at work, while women prefer the comfort of home.
